What do IG, W and G next to the sizes mean?

The abbreviations indicate approximate sighthound size groups. Choose the size primarily using your dog’s measurements and the ranges in the table.

IG — Italian Greyhound — small sighthounds.
W — Whippet — medium-sized sighthounds.
G — Greyhound — large sighthounds.

Combined labels such as IG/W or W/G indicate sizes suitable for dogs from both groups. Choose primarily according to your dog's measurements and the ranges in the chart.

How to measure your dog

Shoulder girthMeasure around the base of the neck, at the withers and the top of the breastbone.
Chest girthMeasure the chest circumference where the chest begins to narrow. Choose the measurement position to match the back strap length of your selected harness size.
Back strapMeasure along the back from the shoulder loop measurement point to the chest loop measurement point.
Sternum strapThe adjustment range in the table refers to the section of the sternum strap between the front legs. Beyond this point, the strap splits into two diagonal straps whose length is matched to the harness size.

Description

The Y-harness for sighthounds is a lightweight, comfortable walking harness designed specifically for a sighthound’s slender build. It fits comfortably around the chest without restricting shoulder blade movement, making it suitable for everyday walks, training sessions and longer outings.

The Y model is simpler and lighter than an escape-proof harness, making it a good choice for dogs that do not tend to back out of their harnesses. Made from waterproof Hexaline webbing, it does not absorb dirt or unpleasant odours and can simply be wiped clean or rinsed after a walk. Stainless steel hardware and sturdy rivets enhance its durability, making it suitable for intensive daily use.

Warranty and repairs

The product is covered by a workmanship warranty.

If a problem with a rivet, buckle or piece of hardware occurs during normal use, please contact us. We will inspect the product and offer a repair or replacement.

What is covered: Workmanship defects, rivets, buckles and hardware.
What is not covered: Chewing damage, cuts, deliberate damage or use of the product for purposes other than those intended.
Production: Every product is handmade and checked before dispatch.
